Registration, Payment, Costs & Cancellation

Registration for authors:

Acceptance of papers is conditional on at least one of the authors presenting the paper on-site. All authors and who come to Leeuwarden should sign up using the registration form, including those who are also attending the IDFW2022.

Registration for guests:

Any interested parties can join the conference as a guest. You can join by registering online. You have two ticket options, full conference for 125 €, or conference ticket excluding the dinner 75 €. 

 

Registration deadline:

Deadline for confirming participation for both authors and guests is Sept 1st 2022. 

 

Fee and payment:

The conference fee 125€/participant can be paid online at the point of registration or invoiced after the registration. 

Participation in the conference is included for the attendees of the 'International Design Factory Week 2022'.

Cancellation

No refunds are available for cancellations made after Sept 12th. 

Other costs: 

Please note that lunches and dinner indicated in the conference program is included in the conference fee. Other expanses (e.g. accommodation, travel, visa) are not included. 

Location & Accomodation

For the first day of the conference program, location is NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences, Rengerslaan 8-10, 8917 DD Leeuwarden, Netherlands. For the second day, the conference program will continue on Future Design Factory, Blokhuisplein 40, 8911 LJ Leeuwarden, Netherlands.

As an accomodation option for the conference atendees we recommend Notiz Hotel in Rengerslaan 8, 8917 DD Leeuwarden.Notiz Hotel is run by students from the Hotel Management School of NHL Stenden University and is located on the campus, close to the conference venue on day one. You will get the rooms for a NHL Stenden rate.

As a secondary option, we recommend Post-Plaza Hotel and Grand Café in Tweebaksmarkt 27, 8911 KW Leeuwarden. Book with code GRUTSK and you get a 10% discount. Post-Plaza Hotel and Grand Café is 5 minutes by walk to the Future Design Factory.

Travel

Depending on your nationality, you might need to apply for a VISA to enter the Netherlands. Some authorities might require an invitation letter. If you need one, please reach out to Eric Voight eric.voight@nhlstenden.com as soon as possible.

Traveling from Schiphol International Airport to Leeuwarden takes two hours by car or shuttle bus; and takes two and a half hours by train. There is a direct train every hour, leaving from the train station at Schipol. Further travel information can be found here.

Note: At least one author should present the paper during the conference on-site. If no author presents their research papers during the conference, they will not be included in the conference proceedings.
